This morning the children were shown a picture of a man with a cup of tea. His name is Bob. They had to think of questions they would like to ask him if they were to meet him, using clues from the picture. We had some excellent questions. We wrote all of our questions down and put them in an envelope along with a letter. I posted the letter this afternoon. We’re hoping for some answers to our questions. The children are very excited to find out if he replies.
This afternoon children have been exploring our solar system. We have looked at pictures of things in the solar system, such as planets, stars, the sun, satellites, constellations and much more. The children drew the solar syatem and plotted a journey around it, to see the things they would like to visit.
Welcome back Class 2.
Today we have had such a busy day. It has gone so fast. It was lovely to see the children dressed so smartly in their uniforms, lots with new shoes and hair cuts. We have been busy working this afternoon on our new topic, which is Space. In geography, children used maps and atlases to find countries that have travelled into space. They had to colour the countires in on their own world maps!  It was good fun, but hard work.
Not long from now, Class 2 will start their new school year as Year 1s and Year 2s in their new classroom. I hope the children are as excited as I am. Miss Ledger and Miss Bradshaw have been busy making the room look fantastic for the new term.
