Welcome back Class 2.
This term our topic is Superheroes. We will be learning about different superheroes and their powers. This morning we talked about our favourite supeherhores and what they did to make the world a better place. We will be having a superheroes day towards the end of term where children in Class 2 can come dressed as their favourite superhero!
Who is your favourite superhero?
Yesterday was Bonfire Night. Class 2 found out about a man named Guy Fawkes and how he plotted to blow up King James I and the Houses of Parliment. We made our own bonfire and firework pictures using paint, chalks, matchsticks and glitter. Have a look at some of our pictures below.
This afternoon children in Class 2 put on a performance for Class 1. We have been learning two songs, Hey You and Hands, Feet and Heart. The children sang them brilliantly and played instruments in time to the beat. We added actions to the words too. Â Have a listen below 🙂
This week in literacy we have been reading a book called Beegu. On Tuesday the children in class 2 were only allowed to look at the front cover. They had to guess who the main character was. We had lots of guesses, a rabbit, a ferret ,an animal called Beegu.  On Wednesday we read the story and found out that it was in fact an alien! Today we have been thinking about where this alien might have come from. We talked about what her planet might have looked like, then the children painted their ideas. We had chocolate rain, candy trees and mountains with green slime instead of snow! There were lots of fab ideas 🙂
This term our topic is Space. We are going to be learning about the planets this week. Does anybody know what any of the planets are called? Do you know anything interesting about Space? Dont forget we need your empty boxes and bottles, to make our space rockets and moon buggies.
